Thanks Giving har just svept förbi och juldekorationerna har släpats fram med besked. Jag måste faktiskt säga att Sacramento är en av de vackraste städerna jag varit i. På en andraplats efter Paris, är Sactown den mest trädrika staden i världen och därefter fått smeknamnet ”The Tree Capitol” eftersom detta även är huvudstaden i Kalifornien. Det fullkomligt sprakar av färger och till skillnad från hemma i Sverige (som jag saknar oerhört) består hösten mest av strålande sol. De regninga dagarna är till och med mysiga. Kvällarna är upplysta av tusentals små lampor som hänger här och var i hus och träd.
Det har inte blivit så mycket ”ligga” på senaste tiden eftersom min hälsoförsäkring inte har satt igång än. Hoppas på mitten kommande vecka. Däremot har jag hjälpt goda vänner att sparka igång deras försäljning av julgranar. En MYCKET bra inkomstkälla på ganska kort sikt i detta land. Mitt i allt vill jag passa på att önska alla en trevlig Första Advent, för det är väl idag? Jag är ju 9 timmar efter er där hemma och amerikanerna firar inte denna dag som oss så jag får tända ett ljus i all min ensamhet och tänka på alla nära och kära i Sverige. Kanske åka en sväng till IKEA och köpa pepparkakor och läsa svenska namn och ord för att reda bot på hemlängtan!!!
